NIFT-TEA Knitwear Fashion Institute, Tirupur have jointly with Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Govt.of Tamil Nadu, Chennai organized an one month free training programme You can be an Entrepreneur for SC youths.

The inauguration session of this programme was held on 15.02.2012 at NIFT-TEA in presence of District Collector Shri.M.Mathivanan, IAS, and while addressing, the Collector had said that “An individual action not only affects him but also his generations to follow.  Hence, a change must come within oneself which should transform him to his highest laurels of his life.  Hence, the need of change is the need of thought process and to bring in this change to lift your own life was his call.

          Mr.R.Rajagopal, LDM, Tirupur had briefed the audience the approach to get loan, the plans and procedures for upcoming entrepreneurship.  The function was presided over by Shri.Raja M.Shanmugham, Chairman of the Institute.  Others participated include Mr.K.Sridharan, Training Co-ordinator, EDI, Chennai, Mr.A.Harinarayanan, District Manager, TADHCO, Tirupur, Mr.Sivasankar, Assistant Engineer, DIC, Dr.N.Gokarneshan, Principal, Prof. K.J. Sivagnanam, Vice-principal, Mr. L. Senthilprabhu, Training Coordinator and other faculty members had participated.
